CALL FOR ARTISTS ON LONG ISLAND

If you are an artist in the New York area, especially Long Island, take a minute and read this CALL FOR ARTISTS –

The Greater Westbury Council on the Arts is a newly formed arts council that is participating in it’s first event. It’s a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting new arts organization on Long Island!

Open Call for Artists: RE-PURPOSED OR RECYCLED ART

Open call for local artist participation in the upcoming art show sponsored by the Greater Westbury Council for the Arts in collaboration with the 24th annual Hicks Flower Show in Westbury. Event will be in conjunction with the two day opening reception of the Flower Show on March 6th and 7th. Exhibit room is just off the main floral displays at event.

Theme: The call is open to local artists to submit work that utilizes recycled or repurposed materials.

Deadline for submission consideration is Friday, February 28, 2014

Original works in 2-D and 3-D in any medium (within certain size specifications), except for video and installation art, can be accommodated.
