I received notice of a Call for Artists from a friend with the theme of Wearable Art. She thought it would be a natural fit since I also design and make wearable art. The description of the call was a bit hazy though, using artspeak that I usually have trouble deciphering. I wanted to submit,  but could not quite figure out if submitting my original sculptural aluminum jewellry would be the right thing to do.

Sitting in my favorite red chair and dozing off, after reading the call for the 3rd time, inspiration literally hit me.

I’ve always thought some leading ladies could have benefitted from a statement necklace 😉 Submission deadline is July, plenty of time to finish and make more. My red chair is waiting.
