Commisssions are tricky.

Accepting commissions is a tricky proposition because it’s not just your vision. I am lucky to have been asked to create backdrops for another Queen Emma Ballet production, The Enchanted Forest. Performances went very well this past weekend I am told and the backdrops were appreciated by the audience as well.

These were 4 watercolor and ink paintings that were edited and resized to be projected onto a 14′ x 20′ screen onstage. I am honestly amazed that I was able to edit and resize the originals pretty well. Those theater techs work miracles!

it was a joy to create an enchanted forest for these amazing young dancers.

Thank you Honolulu!
